By Bus: Comfortable buses like Flecha Roja run regularly from Terminal de Autobuses Observatorio, taking about 2 hours.
By Car: A 2-hour drive (160 km) from Mexico City via Autopista México-Toluca (Highway 15).
Why Visit: Famous for its colonial architecture, including beautiful buildings adorned with Talavera tiles, and its exceptional cuisine, like mole poblano. Nearby Cholula boasts the Great Pyramid, the largest by volume in the world.

By Bus: Primera Plus or ADO buses from Terminal Norte (2 hours).
By Car: 2-hour drive via the México-Puebla highway.
Why visit? If you’re looking to add some sun and sea to your trip, Acapulco is the perfect spot. With its beautiful beaches, lively atmosphere, and iconic cliff divers, it’s a great place to unwind before or after the wedding.
How to Get There:
By bus: You can take a comfortable bus from Primera Plus, departing from Terminal de Observatorio in Mexico City.
By plane: There are direct flights from Mexico City to Acapulco, which take about 1 hour.

You can swim with sea turtles in Akumal, snorkel with manta rays at El Cielo beach near Cozumel, dive into cenotes, or even spot whale sharks in the island of Holbox. Chichen Itzá, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, with its iconic pyramid and impressive Mayan ruins is just a few hours from Cancún. If you're more into beach clubs and nightlife Tulum and Playa del Carmen are your place. The Mayan culture is everywhere—whether you’re visiting the Tulum Ruins right on the beach or exploring the jungle to find the Coba Ruins.
Weather in September: The weather is warm, with temperatures around 28-30°C (82-86°F), although you can expect occasional afternoon rains (which are usually brief) due to hurricane season. While hurricanes aren’t guaranteed, it's important to keep an eye on weather forecasts. However, the region remains a great place to visit during this time for fewer crowds and lower prices.
How to Get There: Direct flights from CDMX to Cancún (~2 hours). From there, it’s easy to take a ferry to places like Holbox or Cozumel. If you’re heading back to Europe, Cancún has direct flights to London and Germany, making it a convenient spot to catch a flight home.
